This site has been made possible by the Partnership for Learning created between NIACE, North Tyneside Council and NT VODA.

niace, NT Council ALA and NT VODA logos - working in partnershipThe Partnership, the Vocality Project, run by NT VODA, and supported by NIACE and North Tyneside Council, aims to provide a voice to members of the Arts and Crafts community in North Tyneside, where tutors and learners can meet and exchange ideas, find out about courses or projects that are happening in the borough, exhibit their work to a wider audience and encourage everyone to get involved. This is your site - what appears here is dictated by you, the arts and crafts community in North Tyneside, so tell us what you'd like to see, and we'll try to help you to make it happen.

NT VODA

The North Tyneside Voluntary Development Agency (NT VODA) is a registered charity providing advice, training, information and support to volunteers, voluntary and community groups working in North Tyneside.

VODA works locally, regionally and nationally to promote the value and needs of the voluntary and community sector in North Tyneside. They help to encourage and develop networks and partnerships between the voluntary and community sector and others. VODA also works with groups that are based or have members living or working in North Tyneside.

VODA is a registered charity (no. 1075060) and is registered as a company in England and Wales (registration no. 3703221).

NT Council Adult Learning Alliance

North Tyneside Council's Adult Learning Alliance provides Adult Education courses throughout the borough in a wide range of subjects - A free prospectus is usually dlivered to all homes in North Tyneside, but if you would like to download a copy of the current prospectus, click here.

NIACE

NIACE (The National Institute of Adult Continuing Education - England and Wales) is a non-governmental organisation working for more and different adult learners.

Their aim is the advancment of the interests of adult learners and potential learners. Their strategic plan commits NIACE to: "support an increase in the total numbers of adults engaged in formal and informal learning in England and Wales; and at the same time to take positive action to improve opportunities and widen access to learning opportunities for those communities under-represented in current provision."

A unique feature of NIACE is that its work crosses the sectoral boundaries of post-school education and training. It works in all fields of UK education and training, including local authority-organised provision, the further education college sector, higher education in universities and colleges of HE, work-based learning involving both employers and trade unions, learning in the voluntary sector and through the media, especially broadcasters.

NIACE is a registered charity (no. 1002775) and a company limited by guarantee (registration no. 2603322) under English law.
