Downloadable music from Incompetech that you can use freely. Search by genre (disco, african, latin etc) or feel (action, eerie etc)
Digital Art Illustration
This Digital Art site, by Tim Alt, is not so much a learning site but a commercial studio that produces illustrations for clients website and other publicity. However, it has an interesting array of digital images that may inspire tutors and learners and so has been included here. Have a look in the portfolio section.
Digital Art Source
All things digital art can be found on this site Digitalartsource.com. Including a whole host of sections, forums, school resources, galleries. Its worth a browse, but when tested some of the links didnt work. NB Some of the websites linked to from this site may be classed as unsuitable for young children, so it is recommended that adults only use this link.
Digital Art
This is another example of a site full of information relating to digital art - Expression Through Technology . Some fabuolous examples of how art and computers can produce amazing results in the Standouts section - the 'how did they do that' factor is great for inspiration. PastPix
PastPix : is a great source for historical images. Experts in digitally restoring vintage images and preparing them for use on the Internet. Very limited (low resolution) usage until you register - free to educational establishments.
ACL Images
A must for Adult and Community Learning digital imaging tutors! An excellent site where non copyright images can be uploaded/downloaded and used for teaching. Dont expect much by way of site design but the content is excellent. Find it at Images 2 Teach.
Big Photo
Big Photo You can download photographs for non-commercial use (such as education) free from this site. There is plenty to choose from.
Morgue File
Not as the title suggests! Morguefile.com is a royalty free public image reference archive. Click on the title at the top of the page to access the images (this is not apparent on the site!)
iStock Photography
istockphotography is an online community where you can meet other digital photographers/graphic designers and if you register (its free) you can customise your own space. You can also create your own 'lightbox' to keep track of our favourite pictures. You do have to pay for some of the images and videos however.
Musictheory.net
Musictheory.net is a great Web site developed by a musician/college student A little bit complicated but good for older children who may be doing music GCSE. It has the added advantage of being able to download the whole website to use offline.
Drum Lesson Database
Another music teaching site hailed as “The Internet's first and largest Drum Lesson Database !” A bit tricky to navigate at first but if you scroll down past all the adverts and links to other stuff you will find the 400 or so lessons from around the world.

Enter the fascinating world of the violin Learn about history, manufacture, music and much more.
Now Play It
Now Play It is a fabulous new site where you can download video lessons on how to play songs by the likes of K T Tunstall and Blur. With Now Play It the business of learning rock 'n' roll has jumped into the technological world we all stive to live in.
World Wide Internet Television
And finally, is television an art form? Many would say yes……. have a look at World Wide Internet Television and make your own mind up. From here you can use this broadband Portal to watch live TV (and other) broadcasts from around the world. The content plays through a variety of medium including Windows Media Player and Real Player.
